Patti Hupp

Director of Coaching & Programming

Patti Hupp, the owner of Field Day Athletic, is deeply passionate about track and field and dedicated to helping athletes achieve and surpass their dreams. With over eighteen years of experience as a head high school coach in Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Florida, Patti has guided many athletes to become conference, state, regional, and national champions. She has coached both men and women in various track and field disciplines as well as cross country, with her athletes setting numerous school and state records. Her coaching experience spans from elementary-aged athletes to college students. Patti holds USATF Level 2 certifications in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, Jumps, and Multi-Events, along with a USTFCCCA Technical Coaching Certification and USATF Level 3 credit in Cross-Country. In December 2019, she received a mentor grant from USATF to train under Olympic Jumps Coach Jeremy Fischer at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, to enhance her expertise in that field event group. Before relocating to Florida, Hupp was the Director of Track and Field at Norton Sports and Learning Center, a top-tier indoor track facility in Louisville, Kentucky.


Before starting her coaching career, Hupp was a sprinter for four years at Indiana Wesleyan University, competing as a scholarship athlete under Coach John Foss. Patti and her husband Steve live in St. Augustine. They have three adult children, all of whom earned scholarships to compete in track and field and cross country at the collegiate level.
